Dr. Paul Schwartzreich DVMVeterinarian, Practice OwnerA graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, Dr. Paul Schwartzreich has been an associate veterinarian at Norwalk Veterinary Hospital in Connecticut for the past 4 years. Prior to veterinary school, he was a documentary filmmaker and produced nationally televised documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery Channel, A&E and MSNBC.
Dr. Schwartzreich’s professional interests include dermatology, pain management, quality-of-life issues, and internal medicine. Aside from work, Dr. Schwartzreich loves his Beagle, Banksy, and most of all, spending time with his family. Katie Doherty is originally from Brooklyn, NY and graduated from St. George’s University in January of 2012 after completing a clinical year at North Carolina State. In the following year, Katie completed a medicine and surgical internship at an emergency and referral center in Long Island. Since then, Katie has continued her veterinary career in small animal general practice.
Prior to her studies in veterinary medicine, Katie taught outdoor and environmental education for several years in multiple locations throughout the United States. In her spare time she still enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, camping, the occasional game of basketball and hanging out with her dog Boo. Katie is excited to continue her veterinary career with the team at New Rochelle Animal HospitalAngelaPractice ManagerAngela is our Practice Manager and has been working with animals for over 15 years. She has loved and helped them her entire life and will continue until it’s her turn for the Rainbow Bridge. Ferrets are her favorite creatures, but she has a zoo at home with many different types of animals. There is no greater feeling than helping an animal or their people with everything from grooming to emergencies. Juan SalazarVeterinary Technician - (Head Tech)Originally, Juan started working in the veterinary field to help finance his collegiate studies with the intent of pursuing forensic science and joining the F.B.I. He has worked at several animal hospitals and has garnered 7 years of experience in the veterinary field. Working with animals has inspired Juan to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. He is currently working toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician. In his free time, Juan enjoys going to the movies, learning new things, and spending time with his ferrets, Sophia and Albert, and dogs, Shadow and Ceasar.SamanthaClient CareSamantha is one of our receptionists and has been working at New Rochelle Animal Hospital for 4 years. She is a lover of all animals and, on her off days, enjoys rescuing and re-homing abandoned animals.
